2025 / 2026 Concert Series
“A Sense of Place”
In a world that’s constantly shifting, music helps us anchor ourselves—to each other and to our shared purpose. This season, we’ll explore what it means to belong: to be rooted not just in place, but in people and the stories we carry. This season invites audiences into a shared experience of home—whether that’s a physical space, a sound, or a feeling. As part of Springfield’s vibrant arts community, we believe that music plays a vital role in shaping identity and building pride in our Queen City. With every note, we seek to cultivate that sense of place—one that brings us together and reminds us who we are.

The Place She Makes
Sunday, April 12th, 2026 | 6:00pm
Christ Episcopal Church
601 E Walnut St, Springfield, MO 65806
In this concert, Queen City Chorale honors the voices of women composers who, though often overlooked in history, have had the power to shape and transform communities. We explore how their music not only reflects a sense of place but also creates it—fostering belonging and shared understanding. These composers have carved out their own spaces in the musical world, and through their work, we find both strength and solidarity. We’re especially excited to return to Christ Episcopal Church, Queen City Chorale’s “Third Place,” as we celebrate these powerful voices. Join us as we honor their unique perspectives and the transformative power of song to bring us home to a place of shared experience and community.
